Will I get anything if I take economics as a course in college or is it a stupid action to make because of todays recession and all in the UK at the moment.Does this make economics an unrewarding subject to take with no future outcomes?

Depends on your major. You should have taken it in high school. Taking the class doesn’t have to do with the recession. Maybe it will help you understand the recession.

I took a few Econ classes and enjoyed them thoroughly. You will get a wealth of information from them.
economics
the study of economics includes lots about the different factors that affect different types of sectors. Economics is not at all just the study of our economy and how it works or doesn’t for that matter. as another poster said, take it and you will broaden your knowledge and understand about recession. Also, studying economics doesn’t mean you will end up doing a job that has ‘something to do witht he economy’.

I think if you find yourself interested in taking the course you should. Although it may not be a requirement for you or part of your major there are several things you may be able to take out of it. I myself am a econ major. First you will be able to have an understanding on what the problems with the economy are today, and what can be done to fix them. With this you can better yourself by be a better consumer and helping your own budget. Many of the things that can fix the economy as a whole can give you an idea about how to go about managing money and spending on a personal level. So i say yes take the course, you may find that you learn a couple of things to better yourself at the end of it.
