Canadians as well as other nation’s citizens do do that. I would look to the reasons for the .75 & .50 %s. I would speculate the .50 go for moderate to low healthcare procedures or less urgent while the .75 seek more difficult expensive or urgent procedures.
I don’t know if he is being deceitful. Remember that airtime is short and he has to get important points across. The FDA is a regulatory agency is it not? What is Ron Paul’s premise?
Fire Your Boss Now
He tends to spread lies when he says Canadians coming down to the US for treatment as if droves of Canadians are flocking to the US for treatment.
Study show 0.75 of Canadians in a given year travel to US on the flip side 0.50 percent of Americans come here for the same reason.
He deceitfully doesnt mention senior citizens crossing into Canada to get prescription drugs or that state and local govts from Maine to Illinois tried to buy Canadian drugs at lower cost and FDA shut them down.

In the long run your system will cause your quality of health care to decline. This is demonstrable through both theoretical and historical examples.
Fire Your Boss Now
I am free to choose an HMO or not. If I reject having an HMO I choose which treatment I get. There are also multiple types of HMOs. Also Keep in mind HMOs came into and are kept in existence by the HMO Act of 1973 that is by force and subsidies not profit or efficient and customer winning services. I am free to purchase insurance that is not provided by my employer. #4 ?? Getting an insurance co to pay for a preexisting condition is seeking the unearned. It is dishonest. Insurance not= freeride
Photoshop Life
In our system I not only get to choose my own doc the govt pays for travel and logging if I choose to get a second opinion from another doc living in another city.
There is no HMO bullshiit, claims processing, paperwork, denial letter, treatment denial and all that crap. No headache giving bureaucracy.
I dont lose insurance if I lose job or change jobs.
No rationing by income level or pre-existing condition.

Have you listened to Ron Paul in this video? He explains the problems in US healthcare and discusses the source of those problems.
“should be enough to claim who knows better…” to this I say not so. Not saying that Paul has done this, but a foreigner who does an exhaustive study on a system will know more about it than a native who may only be a passive user of that system.
Photoshop Life
Lets see which system is more free.
Does your HMO allow you choose docs or HMO does it for you ?
Does your HMO allow you choose which treatment you can get or HMO does it for you ?
Do you get covered when you lose job if your insurance is covered by employer ?
Is your ability to get insurance determined by income ?
Is your ability to get insurance determined by pre-esisting condition(s)

Absolutely correct, and I do speak of fascism in the present. I have no illusions of what we have embraced. I don’t see a difference between D & R, remember that fascism moves toward a single party system. Ron Paul is the only one I have found speaking truthfully about this. Our laws are no longer being made to protect Individual Rights, a promise our Constitution was to fulfill. This is a result of being taught European Statism in school not the American Ideology of Liberty and Rights of Man.
Health care
I’m a Canadian and a user of Canadian health care system Ron Paul is not and that alone should be enough to claim who knows better Ron Paul or me.
And by the way as a college student in southern Michigan I have seen America’s health care system up close.
ProConsultancy.com
Good point. But isn’t there already a fusion of Goverment & Corporations now? Energy, Heathcare, War, Financial? I’d speak of facism in the present, not in the future.
Another point in this debate is that I wouldn’t draw lines between parties. Although its a 60/40 split between D & R. It’s more like a 65/35 split between those beholden to corporate lobbyists, and those representing their constituencies.
Low Cost Bargain
He “presented himself as expert on Canadian health care system…” If you are saying he did this without thoroghly studying the Canadian healthcare system I have to express disbelief. This doesn’ t mean I won’t check up on him. “Canadian system is not free as the US healthcare system” Where is the lie here?
Low Cost Bargain
Ron Paul who has never used our health care system was one who presented himself as expert on Canadian health care system when he told CNN that Canadian system is not free as the US health care system
Low Cost Bargain
So it is more like fascist medicine. Private owners get to say they own the business but since the government is providing the funding they control it. Remember that government has a monopoly on the legalized use of force, so be careful where your thinking can lead.
Fire Your Boss Now
Ron Paul is an insane right wing nut job? What lies are you refering to? I don’t catch him telling many lies. Tell me where I can find them so I can go check them out.
ProConsultancy.com
Our govt insures everyone. We dont have to worry about in our everyday life unless some insane ring-wing American nut jobs tries to demonize our health care system with absolute lies like Ron Paul did on CNN.
ProConsultancy
Hey Ron! It not socialized medicine unless the Government owns the means of production, in other words, doctors employed by the government working in government owned hospitals. Single Payer is when the Governments pays, but the Doctors and Hospitals remain private.

You really need to research the subject more. You are plainly mistaken. The US government IS heavily involved in the healthcare and insurance industry. That is why healthcare is in the state that it is in.
Photoshop Life
The rest of the world mocks America for its anti-healthcare protests. We all thought we’d see a new, pragmatic and open minded USA after 11/9 but we haven’t.
Still in the hands of the corporations, the Christian Right and the nut-jobs. Much as it has been for the last 50 years.
LOL at your continued mention of the Constitution. It’s like a Briton applying the realms of the Magna Carta to everything in our society today, very restricted, very insular, very American.
Good luck President Obama.
ProConsultancy.com
Which age are you living in ? 5000 BC or the year 2008 ?
ProConsultancy
Our govt is heavily involved in health insurance so is rest of the govts of developed nations except the US.
ProConsultancy.com
Are you refering to the men who defeated the most powerful nation on earth at the time? You should care because their reasoning and principles were sound. That would require your own reasoning to be sound. Is it?
Failed Experiment
You seem to think government is NOT heavily involved in healthcare already. This IS your premise yes? Can you name me a single health insurance company that is not subsidized or granted protectionist policies by the government?
Photoshop Life
With no government the insurance companies would charge you an exhorbitant rate for healthcare, then a team of beaurecrats would find a bullst reason to drop you when you do get sick. …. Oh wait, that’s already happening.

Obama’s healtcare program will expand the privet HMO & Insurance industry which is going broke because of bad investments in the Stock Market. We will be forced to buy and carry insurance if we want medical treatment. A medical panel will determine who will get medical treatment based of cost effectiveness. Obama’s program is just another Wall Street bailout paid for by us. Obama is a Wall Street ********** that will give head to get ahead. Google Video: OTC PM Report September 10, 2009
