the point the reporters make is true, other politicians running against schiff will be promising bullshit like more education spending, more healthcare spending etc and people will want to vote for that and continue deluding themselves living in their ‘fantasy economy’. most people don’t want to vote for the hard decisions that schiff will make.

This whole deflation vs inflation discussion is interesting. The monetary base (physical paper and coin) has tripled since the year 2000 and total revolving credit (unpaid credit cards) have also increased up to 900 billion. This is all on the St. Louis Fed Reserve website. If gold would to repeat like it did in 1980 and the 1930′s it would have to be at least $7000. You have to understand that before hyperinflation there will be deflation. That’s how they win all the time.
