Dating can be hard for a man. Things that may work for one date may not work for another. You never really know what it is you’re walking into. And there is not manual for dating. However, there are a few mistakes that are commonly made that will kill your chances dead. The following are a few:
First is arrogance. Nothing turns a woman off faster then a guy that can’t stop talking about his new job, his fancy clothes, expensive car and all his STUFF. In the eyes of your date, you may be looked upon as nothing more than a blow-hard. Never mind the fact that she may be more successful/talented than you. If you want to have a repeat date, then tone done your self-congratulations.
Another mistake is flashing your cash. Don’t pretend to be rich. If you are, then remember that a woman loves understated class and style, not a man who insists she drinks Crystal champagne by the bucketload and drives with him in a Ferrari to the supermarket.
Never, never never say you understand women. You don’t and you won’t and probably never will. I know that I don’t and I’ve been with my girl for 6 years, two of those married. So trying to empathize should be treated with caution. Remember, she is looking for someone to be with, not a girl friend.
Another mistake is not listening to her. Conversation is a two-way street. Wise up and start listening to what she is telling you, because she may well be telling you the path to her heart. If you are talking, you are not listening!
A mistake that is also fairly common is choosing the wrong type of humor. This kind of goes back to the point above, you know, about listening to her. She may not think that bathroom humor is funny, or your political humor may go over her head. Keep it simple until you know her a bit better.

My husband and I are currently going through a divorce, and he is military (national gaurd). He has told me that the military does not recognize a legal separation and that we are still married until the divorce is final. He has also said that if either him, myself, or both of us were to get involved with anyone else before the divorce is final, that we could be thrown in jail by the military. Is there any truth to this what so ever, or should I just add it to the list of lies that he’s always fed me? Thanks!
